Pepper Chicken Fry
Easy to make Pepper Chicken Fry. An aromatic and spicy Chicken fry that is full of spices and makes for a delicious, yummy chicken. Serve with hot steamed rice.

Ingredients
Pepper Masala Powder
- 3 Nos Dry Red Chillies
- 1 tbsp Peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- ½ teaspoon Fennel Seeds
Pepper Chicken
- 5 tbsp Oil
- 2 Nos Medium sized Onions (sliced)
- 2 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 10 Nos Curry Leaves
- ½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- ½ Kg Chicken with bones
- ⅓ teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 teaspoon Lime Juice
- 1¼ teaspoon Salt or adjust as per taste
Instructions
Pepper Masala Powder
- Take a Pan and Heat it.
- Add the dry Red Chillies + Peppercorns + Cumin Seeds + Fennel Seeds.
- Dry roast the ingredients for a minute or until the ingredients give out an aromatic smell.
- Turn off the Stove and let it cool.
- Once cool, put the ingredients into a Blender and blend it into a dry, fine powder. Keep it aside.
Chicken Fry
- Take 5 Tablespoons of Oil in a Pan and heat it.
- Add sliced Onions (2 Nos. medium sized) and fry until brown.
- Add the Ginger Garlic paste and Saute for a few minutes until the Ginger Garlic paste is fragrant.
- Add the Curry leaves + Turmeric Powder.
- Add the Chicken and Mix well and Saute for a few minutes.
- Add the Masala powder prepared earlier and Salt. Mix well.
- Cover and Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes.
- Remove the lid and mix well and Add 1/4 cup Water and Mix well.
- Cover and Cook again for another 15 minutes.
- Remove the lid and add ⅓ teaspoon of Garam Masala and 1 teaspoon of Lime Juice.
- Mix well and saute for 2 minutes.
- Remove and Garnish with chopped Coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or Rotis.
